New Yorkers, The Strokes, have began work on their upcoming studio album on June 12th. The group have been working on new material in their hometown at Electric Lady Studios in New York City. The band is working with producer Gus Oberg who also produced their 2011 album, Angles. Although bassist Nikolai Fraiture has said that the bands relationships were strained after the last album, songs are coming together for their fifth studio album. Fraiture says “What we do on our own is not the same as what we do together. We’re in a good place as a band right now. I feel like I’m at therapy in a marriage.” We will let you know when the release date is out for The Strokes new album!
