Florence and the Machine Cancels Festival Appearance Due To Illness

This is never a good thing! Florence and the Machine had to pull of out performing at Benicassim 2012 due to illness. Lead singer, Florence Welch, told fans that this cancellation is due to “acute vocal strain causing swelling of the vocal cords”. The festival is set to start tomorrow and Florence was supposed to headline. Organizers had this to say about the problem, “Given the sudden and unexpected illness suffered by Miss Welch, FIB 2012 organisation has been unable to find a substitute in such a small time frame.” Florence Welch also took to her official Facebook page and had countless sorry’s to say to fans that were expecting to see her. We say get better because we know that we would be so sad if she couldn’t perform at Osheaga!
