Justin Bieber Admits to Using Tuning Software

Justin Bieber, fresh off the release of  his new album, Boyfriend, has admitted to Q Magazine that the vocals on his records aren’t entirely natural. He maintains that he refuses to use Autotune, the popular software which most people associate with “artificially improved” vocals. (For example, Britney Spears uses Autotune on all of her albums). Bieber does, however, admit to using a different program.

As Justin put it: “I don’t use Auto-Tune. They tune my vocals – they use Melodyne. But every artist uses Melodyne. Not every artist, but 99 per cent of artists. I like the sound, the perfectness of tuning in the record. No one has completely perfect pitch.”

What do you think? Are there any artists out there who record completely without digital assistance?
