Celebrity Halloween Costume Ideas

If there’s one thing that celebrities are good at, it’s dressing up. And Halloween is the perfect excuse for them to go all out (even more than usual). We’ve put together some of the most creative and crazy looks from past years, and added a few ideas on how to get some of the looks yourself.

One of the easiest costumes to pull off is a cat, and it’s not hard to put together as a last minute costume. Take a cue from Doutzen Kroes and throw on black leggings, a black shirt, whiskers and some cat accesories. Every costume store stocks up on cat ears and tail sets, so it’s easy to find and looks cute.

Amber Rose‘s Slash costume is a great idea for girls and guys because most of the pieces are thing that you can find in your closet. Key pieces here: a curly black wig, and a top hat (and a guitar if you happen to have one lying around) to get Slash’s signature look.  If you have black jeans, an old t-shirt, boots, and a leather jacket, you’re all set!

Fergie’s Toddlers and Tiaras costume may look like something only a celebrity could put together, but it’s easier than you think to get this look. You’ll need a pageant inspired dress (the more glitter, the better), frilly socks, a sash, a pair of sparkly heels, and of course a tiara. Then all you have to do is put your hair up in curls and carry your trophy and teddy bear with you.

If you have a white dress and you want to look like Petra Nemcova’s Cleopatra, the only thing you’ll have to worry about is your makeup, and hair. The added gold jewelry is just a bonus, but the key to a good Cleopatra costume is a short black wig, bronzed skin, and exaggerated eye makeup.

Putting together a Sookie Stackhouse costume has become even easier since Hot Topic started carrying their line of True Blood merchandise. All you’ll need to do is visit a store (in person or online), and get a Merlotte’s t-shirt and apron, and keep a notepad and pencil with you to take down people’s orders.

We’ve given you a few DIY ideas, but if you’re looking for a more elaborate costume idea, check out the photos below for inspiration.
