These guys are the best! Coldplay announced yesterday that they have plans to sell three original pieces of artwork that was featured in their latest album, Mylo Xyloto. Not only does one lucky person get their hands on this bright artwork, the proceeds from the auction will be going to a charity. The sale of these three images, created by British artist Paris, will go towards raising money for the charity Kids Company Charity who help inner-city kids. Lead singer, Chris Martin, had this to say about the auction “Kids Company is a phenomenal organisation that is very close to our hearts. While we were making the last album we did quite a lot of painting with our friend Paris… We built a special wall in our studio and sprayed it, wrote on it and threw things at it until it eventually became the artwork for ‘Mylo Xyloto’. This exhibition will be the first time that the wall has appeared in public.” Such a great thing for Coldplay to do to give back!
