Mumford & Sons, Adele and More Up for Academy Awards

Lots of artists have lended their musical talents to movie soundtracks in the past year! Mumford & Sons, The Black  Keys, Adele and Fiona Apple are all in the running to win Oscars. Adele’s Skyfall, the theme for the latest James Bond flick, is one of the 75 songs nominated for Best Original Song. Also being noticed in that category is Mumford & Son’s Learn Me Right from Disney PIxar’s Brave. Other tracks like Baddest Man Alive from The Black Key’s and Fiona Apple’s Dull Tool that will appear in ‘This is 40’ are all up for the award. The songs making the final cut for nominations will be announced at a ceremony on January 10 before Seth MacFarlane hosts the 85th Annual Academy Awards on February 24. It’s pretty exciting stuff to win an Academy Award, so we can’t wait to see who gets the ultimate title!
