A true legend of pop music back again, and we couldn’t be more thrilled! David Bowie has announced his first new album in ten years, and also a new single off the upcoming album. The album, titled The Next Day, is a project that Bowie has been secretly working on for two years. With the help of producer and longtime friend Tony Visconti, Bowie created a new album that many fans and critics were dying to get. The album will be released in the US and Canada on March 11th so be sure to mark that date!
To mark the release of the album yesterday on Bowie’s birthday, he also released the single Where Are We Now? This swanky ballad stays true to David Bowie’s one of a kind style. Bowie’s official website had this to say about the announcement: “In recent years radio silence has been broken only by endless speculation, rumour and wishful thinking ….a new record…who would have ever thought it, who’d have ever dreamed it!
After all, David is the kind of artist who writes and performs what he wants when he wants…when he has something to say as opposed to something to sell. Today he definitely has something to say.” Check out the official video for Where Are We Now? below!
