Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon Working with Arcade Fire Members

We just found out about this awesome collaboration – Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon has been working on new music with Arcade Fire’s touring saxophonist, Colin Stetson on his new solo album. The saxophonist has regularly gone on tour with both Bon Iver and Arcade Fire as well as many other artists, but wanted to try some personal recordings. Stetson’s upcoming 2013 album, New History Warfare Vol 3 will be the final volume in his series, New History Warfare.

Vernon will appear on four out of the 11 tracks on the album, adding vocal lines to some of Stetson’s songs. In 2010, Stetson released Volume 2 of the series and it featured similar sounds and music. Stetson said  “Over the time that I spent on the road with Bon Iver and solo touring, I was writing… I would play those songs out on the road and they would just grow and gradually solidify into what they are now.” We can’t wait to hear what they’ve come up with!
