Little Boots – Motorway (Single Premiere)

English singer-songwriter Little Boots announced this morning that she will be releasing her anticipated sophomore album, titled Nocturnes, on May 6 via Kobalt Music. Here we have buzz single “Motorway,” which was also released today as a FREE download on her official website. Co-produced DFA Records co-founder Tim Goldsworthy, “Motorway” is a moody and danceable number driven by piano and looped electronics that sets the mood brilliantly with its long depth.

“Much of the ‘dance music’ we’ve been bombarded with of late leaves me cold,” Boots said in a statement, “and recently it feels like Proper Songs have somehow gone out of fashion. So a big part of what I wanted to do on this record is show that you can produce dance-pop that’s both interesting and artistic, but maintains the magic of classic pop songwriting.” I love the chilled and even cold feel of this one. Definitely can’t wait for the album!
