The Glee club is getting ready for Regional’s when Brittany announces that a meteor will be hitting Ohio. Going with this prediction, the goal of the week at glee club is to sing a song as if it was your last song.
Ryder the past couple episodes has been involved in an online relationship with a girl named Katie. At school, he recognizes the girl from the picture and sings Elton John’s “Your Song” to her. This would be perfect and romantic if the girl in the photo was actually Katie. It’s not. Her name is Marissa and Ryder realizes that she’s not the girl he was messaging this whole time. He was cat fished and someone stole Marissa’s identity to pose as Katie. So we still don’t know who or where Katie is.
Sam and Brittany sing “More Than Words” by Extreme to Brit’s cat, since he is the most important person in her life. But this “end of the world theme” is short lived until later in the episode when Brit realizes that the meter or won’t hit (from her hand made telescope).
As the glee club is about to commence, gun shots are heard. There is a school shooting and everything goes into lock down The glee club is trapped, except for Tina who’s outside and Brit who stayed in the bathroom. Sam tries to go to Brittany but is forced to stay so as not to risk the lives of the other glee club members.
Soon, security comes in and yells that it’s all clear. The most touching scene takes place when all the members have a group hug. They all thought they were going to die and the relief they share bonds them. They end the episode singing John Mayer’s “Say.”
The whole school believes a student shot the gun and they are right. Becky had the gun and fired two shots by accident. The plot twist is that Sue Sylvester takes the blame for it, causing her to get fired. She tells Will to keep an eye on Becky but no one knows what she actually did, making her the hero.
Next episode, we hope to find out who Ryder’s mystery girl is. Also, is Sue gone for good? Rachael, Kurt and Finn weren’t featured in this week’s episode, so hopefully we see them next week!
