The Vamps are a young band from England who have just released their music video for their first single ever called “Can We Dance.” Members Bradley, James, Tristan and Connor are all aged 19 or younger, so they definitely appeal to the teenage crowd. The song is upbeat and about an epic party that also made an epic mess. The parents of the household will be home soon, so the boys have a lot to clean up. Help is on the way once they send out a tweet explaining the situation.
Throughout the video, it shows the friends helping each other out, with snippets of what the party was all about. The song is definitely a pop song, but has some indie/punk vibes to make them stand out. I like that they may be considered a boy band, but they have a strong hand in the writing of their music, making them different.
On their website, the boys asked people to use the hashtag #canwedancewiththevamps to spread the word about the video. They also said, “[T]hank you for all the support you have given us so far; we are truly humbled by the immense global fan response we receive from you guys every day.” This is their first official single and they will have a four song EP coming out September 29, with a full album rumoured for 2014. They toured with McFly earlier this year and will be supporting Selena Gomez at her London Hammersmith Apollo shows in September. Check out the video below!
