A new band that we’ve been listening to is Boy + Kite. This band doesn’t just fit in one category, it’s a mixture of alternative, pop and rock sounds that is truly refreshing.

From Austin, Texas, Darvin Jones, Beth Puorro, Giuseppe Ponti and Marc Henry released their debut album Go Fly in the summer of 2011. They followed it up with their EP called We Can Go Anywhere We Want. It consists of five songs, one of our favourites being “Alone With A Microphone.” The beginning notes of this song are really cool and we like how it builds up to the first verse.

Some of their accomplishments include playing at SXSW 2012 and Centre of the Universe Festival 2013. They will be playing in Toronto as part of Canadian Indie Week (October 16-20), times and venues still to be announced, so if you’re into their vibe, definitely check them out. Below is their official video for “Think In Stereo.”
