Featured Artist: The 1975

This band has been repeat on my iPod even since their debut album came out September 2. The 1975, an English alternative rock band from Manchester, have released their full length album after having a few EP’s from previous years. North America is finally taking notice of them, having their music videos play on music television networks.

The 1975 is Matthew Healy, Adam Hann, George Daniel and Ross MacDonald. I first heard “Chocolate” from the The 1975 and instantly fell in love. They are the fresh kind of band that I’ve been looking for because of their fast beats and honest lyrics. The song “Girls” is also an amazing song. The guitar licks are awesome and it makes me forget all my worries, at least for three minutes. If you’re a fan of Imagine Dragons, then I think you’ll like this band.

They will be playing in Toronto on Sunday (October 13) so try getting tickets! For now, check out the song “Chocolate.” You won’t regret it.
