So, if you head on over to iTunes, you can listen to Bangerz for free! Yesterday, Miley Cyrus announced via Twitter that she was streaming the whole album for her audience’s listening pleasure. It’s possible it will stay up until the official release of her album on October 8th.
You can’t select which track to listen to because it’s been condensed into one audio file, but you can still appreciate each individual song.
Here’s the tracklist:
We Can’t Stop
SMS (Bangerz) (feat. Britney Spears)
4×4 (feat. Nelly)
My Darlin’ (feat. Future)
Love, Money, Party (feat. Big Sean)
Get it Right
FU (feat. French Montana)
Do My Thang
Maybe You’re Right
The most notable thing about the album, even just based on the titles of the songs alone, is how clear it is that Miley isn’t going to slow down any time soon. Each song proves to be more different than the last and listening to the entirety of the album transports you into a world where Miley never existed as Hannah Montana. However, there are moments (see “4×4”) where Miley pays homage to her country roots…somewhat.
If you’re looking for a ballad-heavy album, Miley Cyrus probably isn’t the one for you, but there are some surprising slower songs that stand apart from the more upbeat feel of the album: “Adore You”, “Wrecking Ball”, and “My Darlin'”.
The album heavily features Mike WiLL Made-It, an up-and-coming music producer who Miley seems to have taken a liking to.
Check out the “23” music video from Mike WiLL Made-It, featuring Miley, Wiz Khalifa, and Juicy J, released September 24th.
