If you haven’t heard about the electro/hip-hop group, Ain’t No Love, you better get familiar because they are on the up-and-up.
The other day while laying in my bed and listening to the new music video playlist on MuchMusic, there was this song that caught me by complete surprise. I never pay too much attention being that most of the songs that are played on Much can be heard on the radio.
Based out of Toronto, 1990 , Beanz Control, Saidah, and Liam Clarke tear up the song “Fake Your Dreams” – the song that woke up my music senses. It’s so weird, yet so cool, how a group of people can bring a mash up of different genres to one track.
Earlier this year, Ain’t No Love, released their second EP titled Tears of Joy, which features the songs: “Gone Already”, “Blinded”, Tears of Joy”, “Fake Your Dreams”, “ReUp” and “Champion Babylon”.
I haven’t had the chance to hear them perform live but when I do, it will probably be one of the highlights of my life. They’ve also been on stage with big names such as Steve Aoki, Iggy Azalea, Calvin Harris and more. Lastly, the group has also performed at many music festivals including SXSW and NXNE. What haven’t they done?!

Take a minute to watch the “Fake Your Dreams” and think about how much it reminds you of and old school New York borough:
