YAY! It’s The Weekend!

If you’ve had a tough week and just want to relax this weekend, check out some of my suggestions to forget about the daily hassle.

1. “The Recipe” – Kendrick Lamar (featuring Dr. Dre)

Kendrick, who is known for his hard lyrics and tough exterior, softens his style in this track. With the help of some nice, calming beats and a great lyrical flow you can kick off a Friday night of reclining.

2. “Beautiful War” – Kings of Leon

I was actually only introduced to this song in October, but since then it has been a staple for me when looking for some “me” time. KoL has a great track here and the simplicity of the melody draws you into an almost trance where you want to do nothing.

3. “Club Paradise” – Drake

I don’t even think I have words to describe this song – it kind of puts me to sleep, but in a very good way. Everyone has that one song where you get lost and then you wake up listening to a different song. That’s this for me!

4. “Good Girls (Don’t Grow On Trees)” – Cris Cab (featuring Big Sean)

This is the type of song that you throw on the stereo system in your car when it’s dark and out and you’re just cruising along. Perfect for a Saturday night when you rush to the closest 24-hour grocery store to pick up that bag of chips you so desperately want.

5. “Show Me What I’m Looking For” – Carolina Liar

If you’ve had a very confusing week and you just don’t know what to do anymore I would prescribe this song, The build-up to the chorus gets you amped, but not so much in the sense that you’re ready to turn up. Great for a Sunday evening when you look for that extra bit of courage to wake up Monday morning.

Have a GREAT weekend BestFans!
