Following the Canada Day long weekend, Brad Paisley graced Toronto with his presence at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre on July 2.
One of his opening acts, Randy Houser, really brought the excitement before Brad went on. Singing his hits, “How Country Feels” and “Runnin Outta Moonlight” among others, the crowd got pumped.
Kicking off with “Moonshine in the Truck,” the crowd went nuts with Brad. All of the GTA’s country folk came out and sang along. He had his cowboy hat on and looked casual in ripped jeans and a t shirt.
The concert was all about the guitar playing since Brad is exceptional at it. Walking around the stage and catwalk, he began to take people’s phones and snapped selfies and videos with them. My seat wasn’t close enough to do that sadly…would have loved to have a pic of Brad that he TOOK HIMSELF on my phone.
In the middle of the set, he ran into the crowd, performing a couple songs at a second stage right in front og the 300 section. He said he liked performing in front of the “cheap seats.”
When we was back on the main stage, he played some covers with just the background music, no vocals. Except, he did sing one line from Frozen’s “Let It Go,” the crowd erupting in laughs and cheers right after.
Brad closed his set with “Alcohol,” with everyone standing and singing along. It was a great night if you are a country music lover and I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s waiting for Brad to come back to Toronto soon.
