The first episode of Friends aired on September 22, 1994 – which means this fall marks the show’s 20th anniversary. Friends was one of the best sitcoms airing in the ’90s and early 2000s. It’s hard to believe that it’s been so long considering TV stations are continuing to play reruns.
If you were as big of a Friends fan as I still am, you are going to want to make a trip to New York City between September 17th and October 18th! Warner Brothers Television, Warner Brothers Consumer Products and Eight O’Clock Coffee have partnered up to create a Central Perk pop-up coffee shop during these dates that will be located at 199 Lafayette in Manhattan. For the 20th anniversary, Eight O’Clock coffee has created a special limited-edition coffee that they will serve at the pop-up shop for FREE called Central Perk Roast. In addition to free coffee, the shop will contain some props from the show – including the orange couch! There will also be live music, giveaways, and occasional visits from James Michael Taylor, otherwise known as “Gunther.”
