Happy Friday BestFans! We are back with another round of ‘Fresh Music Friday’. This is where our host, Sharon Bhella shares her personal stand-out picks of the week. This week, Sharon gives us some insight into new music releases from Drake, Beyonce, Tyler Shaw, Madeline Merlo and more!
1.) Drake – “Views”
The internet has been going crazy all week in anticipation of Drake’s fourth album release. Hilarious memes were created by fans inspired by his album cover art. The 6 God also announced that the seventh annual OVO fest will be held on July 29th in Toronto this year AND to top things off he will also head out on tour with Future for the ‘Summer Sixteen’ tour. We went around Toronto asking his fans about their thoughts on ‘Views’ be sure to check it out in our video!
2.) Beyonce – “Lemonade”
The 12 track album was released exclusively on Tidal this week- we have an entire post about this so be sure to check that to get all the info! She talks about marriage struggles in her new music and starts off Lemonde with Queen Bey asking “Are you cheating on me?” What do you guys think of her new music?
3.) Madeline Merlo – “Free Soul”
The lovely Madeline Merlo released her debut album titled “Free Soul” today! I am so looking forward to listening to this album over the weekend! If you haven’t had a chance, check out our recent interview with Madeline right here!
4.) Tyler Shaw – “Wicked”
Another talented Canadian released his newest video this week! Filmed at The Darling Mansion in Toronto you can see him out on a wild night that ends up taking a turn in the wrong direction! Be sure to let us know your thoughts!
5.) Nicky Jam – “Hasta El Amanecer”
Now this song may be in spanish, however it is THE perfect song to get pumped for a Friday night out! I can’t wait for Nicky Jam to release more new music soon but for now definitely check it out!
