The Summer Set were at The Mod Club Theatre in Toronto tonight for their “Stories For Monday” tour and our BestFan team was there of course! Check out our host Sharon Bhella’s review and pictures from the show here.
Its been a while since The Summer Set had gone on tour, fans were worried about the thought of them breaking up (including myself). Lead singer Brian Logan Dales, wrote a heartfelt tumblr post explaining how this recent album was originally going to be their last album. Thankfully, they decided to scrap that idea and are back and better than ever! If you haven’t listened to “Stories For Monday” yet, you need to!! Checkout their new album on iTunes here.
The band is currently on their Stories For Monday tour with Karizma, Royal Teeth, and Handsome Ghost. Due to super slow traffic (as usual) I made the venue just in time to see the second opener, Royal Teeth and then Handsome Ghost shortly afterwards. Both bands were fun to listen to! Check out their videos below!
Finally The Summer Set hit the stage starting off the night with “Figure Me Out”. The crowd was so pumped and The Mod Club theatre was completely packed! They played a full 90 minute set singing songs off “Love Like This”, “Everything’s Fine”, “Legendary” and their latest album “Stories For Monday”. My favourite was getting to watch them perform “Chelsea”. Such a fun song, they were so young when that video came out!
The best part of the night though was close to the end of the show when Brian ran to the back of the venue and sang their latest single “Missin’ You” to everyone in the crowd. He literally went to every part of the venue to dance and sing up close with his fans, it was awesome!!
