Interview: Jonathan Roy

Montreal born singer-songwriter, Jonathan Roy decides to sit-down with Devante “Devo” Burey for an interview in support of his latest album, Mr Optimist Blues.

Jonathan Roy is famously known as son to legendary hockey dad, Patrick Roy. Balancing his time between hockey and music, his passion for music started to grow as with time starting releasing his own singles including, “Daniella Denmark“, which was co-written with Canadian rocker, Corey Hart. Music has been a passion for Jonathan as at a young age he introduced to the piano from his mother, listened to artists like Garth Brooks to Backstreet Boys during his time growing up.

This past Monday (Jan 23), Both Devo and Jonathan chatted about their favourite tracks, Mr. Optimist Blues, what he’s a beat fan of, tour stories and much more.

His latest album, Mr Optimist Blues features 9-tracks and is available now on Apple Music.
