It wasn’t too long ago when French-Cuban twins Lisa-Kaindé Díaz and Naomi Díaz joined Beyonce in her visual album, Lemonade (“Resurrection”, “Hope” and “Redemption” chapters) . The twins were featured alongside Beyonce in some powerful scenes earning themselves a spot on Beyonce’s tour and her approval for their last release. They are back and this time they release a new single, “Lost In My Mind”.
The sisters — and daughters of the late Buena Vista Social Club conguero Miguel “Angá” Díaz — have been performing the song since 2015. They have taking their song and performed it at concerts from Bogotá to Paris. This track has really nails exhausting thoughts we’re all conflicted with at hard-times in our lives, Lisa-Kaindé sings, “My legs hurt/I’ve been walking for so long/I feel I’m running out in the ground/That’s what happens when I get lost in my mind,” while Naomi handles the production.
In a recent interview, the Diaz sisters promise they have been working on new music for their second album in London. If this is a sign of things to come, we’re excited to see what more the sisters can offer us.
