Neon Dreams have just unveiled a video for their new track
“Shape Of My Mind,”
Musically, the track is a shape-shifting pop gem. A sparse and rhythmic beat, keyboard washes and subtle guitar fills provide a platform for Frank Kadillac’s soulful and melodic vocals. The resulting fresh sound has a slight echo of early Police while retaining a contemporary feel.
The clip for “Shape Of My Mind” features plenty of dynamic performance footage that captures the kinetic energy of a live Neon Dreams set. Add in scenes that introduce the love interest that is tempting Frank’s mind and you have one compelling music video paying homage to the 80’s
It was written and shot in true “run and gun” style. Director Zac Facts flew from LA to Halifax to film it, coming up with the script the night before, then filming the entire video in just one day. Acclaimed filmmaker Facts has worked with such stars as The Weeknd, Future, Tory Lanez, and Jessie Reyez.
