Pentatonix [Concert Review]

The Pentatonix crew knew just how to get the party started in Toronto with their acapella mashups, choreography and light show. We are still in awe at the talent!

The night started off with a mashup of Bruno Mars and they quickly moved onto some of the year’s biggest hits like Havana by Camilla Cabello, Despacito by Luis Fonsi and tons more.

The group has a new member who has taken over Avi Kaplan’s spot as the lowest register of Pentatonix’s range. He shared with the audience that he had been a fan of the group since high school and encouraged fans that it is possible to turn your dreams into a reality as it worked for him.

Towards the second half of the show Kevin Olusola, who is the group’s beat boxer, took some time alone on stage to perform the song that got him spotted to join Pentatonix year’s ago on YouTube. It was a beautiful performance of Olusola playing the cello while adding his beatboxing beats to the mix. Definitely a highlight of the show.

Overall it was a fantastic experience! We hope to see these talented artists back in Toronto soon!
