New Kids On The Block brought The Mixtape Tour to Toronto with special guests Tiffany, Debbie Gibson, Salt-n-Pepa and Naught
The format of the show was very different than your regular concert. Instead of having an opener, NKOTB started the show and brought in their special guests in between sets.
They performed recent hits and also hits from back in the day which had the crowd dancing throughout the night.
The first guest to come on stage was Tiffany who sang some of her top hits like “I Think We’re Alone Now” and “Could’ve Been”. Then Debbie Gibson came on and kicked her heels off to get the crowd pumping to her top hits like “Out of the Blue” and “Electric Youth”.
After that, NKOTB came out to do some on their famous ballads from the 80s like “Please Don’t Go Girl” and “Didn’t I (Blow Your Mind This Time)”
Followed by that, Salt-n-Pepa came out to start the party again with their hits like “Whatta Man” and “Let’s Talk About Sex”. They even showed the boys on the screens backstage getting ready for their next set and the ladies went crazy getting a glimpse of the boys with their shirts off as they waved the We The North Flag to represent the Raptors for winning the 2019 Championship.
They continued the celebration during their performance of “Boys In The Band” as they came out with their backup dancers wearing Raptors gear. The crowd went wild. They also ended the show wearing Raptors jerseys with our NBA mascot dancing with them.
The final guest to perform was Naughty By Nature and got the crowd pumping with their famous hit “O.P.P” which featured a bear mascot dancing with them on stage.
Overall, the show was spectacular and unforgettable. They managed to take everyone back to the 80s and everyone loved it especially those who have been fans since the beginning.
We look forward to their next visit in Toronto.
