Luke Bryan brought all the country music fans to Toronto last night for his Sunset Repeat Tour alongside Jon Langston and Cole Swindell. Although the Georgia-born country star hasn’t released a new album since his last tour, I personally enjoyed this concert more than last year’s What Makes You Country tour.
The Budweiser Stage was the perfect location for this show and of course all ages were in attendance from young adults, families and many many (drunk) moms. Bryan even pointed out the fact that he knows there are a lot of mothers in the audience who forced their kids to go to his show so they could watch him dance on stage for two hours! I was a little shocked at how many kids were taking care of their drunk moms – only at a Luke Bryan show.
Bryan started his set with a truck on the stage which he drove up to the raised microphone to perform the first song of the night What Makes You Country. The rest of the night included hits like Most People Are Good, Kick The Dust Up, I See You, Rain Is A Good Thing, Drunk On You, Play It Again, Country Girl, That’s My Kinda Night and more.
Throughout the show Bryan signed autographs, sang directly to a few lucky fans from the stage and ended off many songs without instrumentals to hear the audience sing along.
Overall, as one would hope at a Luke Bryan concert, there was a lot of dancing and swoon-worthy moments because as simple as the stage setup may have been, the graphics on the screen were beautiful, the good vibes filled the air and his sweetness shined through like it always does.
Last night’s show marked the second concert for Live Nation’s Country Megaticket Summer pack with two more shows left before the end of the season. Rascall Flatts will be hitting Budweiser stage September 12th and Dean Brody will conclude the season on September 21st alongside Dallas Smith.
