Cher performed in Toronto this week at Scotiabank Arena Theatre with and we had a blast covering the show.
Nile Rodgers started the night off with CHIC hit “Dance, Dance, Dance” and that defiantly got the crowed dancing and ready for what was to come.
After that, it was Cher’s turn to hit the stage. She started the night off with her hit song “Woman’s World” and she started the night singing high up from a platform which brought her down to the stage. She was dressed in all blue/purple including her hair.
For every song she sang, she had a different outfit and each had its own theme. She also had dancers perform in between her outfit changes and also showed clips of all of the movies she’s acted in which also got her to win an Oscar in 1988.
Some of our favorite themes were when she performed ABBA songs from her newly released album which included “Waterloo”, “Knowing Me, Knowing You”, and her big hit “Fernando” which was also featured in the movie Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again and the Burlesque theme to where she performed her song “Welcome to Burlesque”. She even wore a dress and wig similar to the movie.
She ended the show singing two of her biggest hits “Turn Back Time” and “Believe” and left the crowed dancing and giving her a standing ovation.
Overall, the show was amazing and a great trip down memory lane. For 73 years old, Cher knows how to put on a great show and we look forward to her next visit in Toronto.
